A bit about me

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

So, you’ve happened across my little comic.  Excellent.  Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Harrison Massey.  I’m 17 and go to college somewhere.  In my spare time, I draw this comic.

More to come.  This is mostly just a test post.

Revised #1

Monday, May 12th, 2008

I revised the first comic to make what’s going on a little more clear.  If you’re having trouble following the comic, read it from the beginning again, it should make more sense now.

See you soon,
Harrison Massey

More changes

Monday, May 12th, 2008

The main fakeplacecomic.com page has kind of been replaced by the Fakeplace Studios page at http://www.fakeplacestudios.com.  I’d like to pose a question to all of you: should I make that a cover/news page like the one on VGCats, or something else?

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks,
Harrison

Site maintenance

Monday, May 19th, 2008

The site may look a bit weird for a the next few days, I’m going to upgrade the website to ComicPress 2.5.  Hopefully, it’ll look a lot nicer when I’m done with it, so please be patient.

This week’s comic will probably be up Wednesday.

Many thanks,

Harrison

No Comic This Week

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Sorry guys, but my grandmother’s in the hospital and I’ve been helping Mom out a lot lately.  If you’ve been looking at my other comic, Euphoria and Insanity, I’ll update that today or tomorrow.

Peace out,
Harrison

Read and Learn: Tokyopop Shining Stars Program “Pact”

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Well, every webcomic artist and his/her cousin has posted on this by now, but for those of you that may not have caught it, this is some seriously evil stuff.  Manga publisher Tokyopop has written a vague contract that takes advantage of creators in the guise of being loose and friendly.  This kind of stuff makes me sick, and we all need to guard ourselves from it.  I’d write more about it, but I think Bryan’s summed up my thoughts in better words than I can put down.

The only things I’ve ever bought from Tokyopop are my two FLCL manga volumes.  I think I’m going to keep it that way.
